Guild Wars 2 is one of my favorite games and recently a new expansion, End of Dragons, came out. In the story your playable character talks to a fisherman. He reminisces about how his family is from Tyria and mentions carrot bread that his father used to make made, although he says the recipe was lost after he passed away.
I did the first thing I could think of and checked to see if it was a craftable item in game and, unfortunately, it is not an item in the game. So I did the next best thing and decided to create my own idea of what the carrot bread would look like in-game. I chose to make an easy carrot bread recipe and mixed in chopped crystallized ginger for a pop of flavor throughout the loaf.
Baker’s notes
- Source & game context: This is an original Pixel Perfect Baking recipe inspired by Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons — the fisherman NPC’s lost family carrot bread. It is not a craftable item in the game.
- Yield: One 9” x 4” loaf (servings unit from the original WP Recipe Maker card).
- Ginger: Chopped crystallized ginger adds the pop of flavor through the loaf; prepare it before mixing the dry ingredients.
